A float carrying the Vince Lombardi Trophy makes its way up Broadway as the Super Bowl champ Giants receive a ticker-tape parade in lower Manhattan.

Eli Manning hoisted the Lombardi Trophy from a glittering blue-and-white float, and Mayor Michael Bloomberg joked that New York City should now be nicknamed the 'Big Blue Apple,' as thousands of fans crowded lower Manhattan on Tuesday to celebrate the New York Giants' Super Bowl victory amid tons of confetti.
Ricky Williams, 34, says he's retiring (AP)

Ricky Williams retired previously before the 2004 season when facing a four-game suspension for violating the league's drug policy.

Ricky Williams is retiring from the NFL. Again. This time, however, it appears to be for good. The 34-year-old Williams told the Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday he won't be back to fulfill the second year of a contract he signed in August. Playing as a backup to Ray Rice this year, Williams ran for 444 yards and scored two touchdowns.
Broncos RB Moreno charged with DUI (AP)
Denver prosecutors say Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno has been charged with drunken driving and careless driving after getting pulled over in south Denver. Denver district attorney's spokeswoman Lynn Kimbrough said Tuesday that Moreno is also charged with failure to have proof of insurance and is due back in court March 2 after police issued a summons.
Giants TE Ballard tore ACL in Super Bowl (AP)
New York Giants tight end Jake Ballard tore his left anterior cruciate ligament during the second half of the Super Bowl, the team announced on Tuesday. An MRI discovered Ballard's injury, and with the help of crutches, he was able to participate in Tuesday's parade and ceremonies in New York and New Jersey.
Steelers pick Haley to run offense (AP)
The Steelers have named Todd Haley their new offensive coordinator. Haley, 45, will replace Bruce Arians, now with the Indianapolis Colts, and will inherit an offense that scored 325 points last season en route to finishing 12-4. Haley was fired by Kansas City on Dec. 13, after going 19-26 in two-plus seasons with the Chiefs, leading them to the 2010 AFC West title.
